i had a scintillating scotoma!! when it was starting i threw out some googles to figure out if i was having a stroke or not, and was actually reading about scintillating scotomas at the moment it reached the center of my vision and i lost the ability to read. that was when i went to the ER. an hour later the visual symptoms had resolved and the migraine pain had kicked in. i felt better after a night of sleep.
